Meet Bob and Linda Carey. Linda was unfortunately diagnosed with breast cancer, so Bob began taking beautiful but totally ridiculous photographs of himself in a pink tutu.
“When Linda would go in for treatment, she would take the images on her phone and the women would look at them and it would make them laugh and make the time pass,” Bob said.
Linda said the other women appreciated that Bob was doing this to stand by her and make her happy.
After receiving so much possible feedback and support, Bob knew he had to continue making the photographs. The Tutu Project was born and quickly went viral.
And even traveled to Italy…
Always finding creative ways to capture himself in the tutu, and make his wife and her friends laugh.
“Oddly enough, her cancer has taught us that life is good, dealing with it can be hard, and sometimes the very best thing — no, the only thing — we can do to face another day is to laugh at ourselves, and share a laugh with others.”

The Tutu Project’s Story Told in Germany by Deutsche Telekom (Long Version)
The Tutu Project is proud to announce that they were chosen by Deutsche Telekom to tell their story of how Bob and Linda Carey have chosen to deal with breast cancer through inspiration, courage and love.
